When making an application at the Citizens' Office, the citizen decides to collect his or her ID document at the issuing terminal. In addition, contact data such as their mobile phone number or e-mail address are recorded in a web-based system. The system automatically generates a booking number and triggers an e-mail or SMS to the applicant. Identification upon collection of the identity card is carried out on the one hand by a code sent to the applicant, and on the other hand by reading the applicant's fingerprint at the terminal.
